The Hill Country Hot Ticket April 10 – April 13, 2026 Our mission is simple: we cut through the noise to bring you a curated list of the events, music, and local news that actually matter in Bulverde, Spring Branch, Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, and Blanco. No fluff, just the information you need to plan your week.
Live Music and Nightlife
Spring Branch: Anhalt Hall is hosting its annual Western Roundup this Thursday and Friday, April 10–11. Rocky King at 3:30pm and Jake Hooker at 7:30pm on Friday headline one of the most anticipated events on the Hill Country calendar — a multi-day music and dance festival on the grounds of this storied German dance hall.
Insider Tip: The Western Roundup is not a walk-in event. Tickets sell in advance and the dance floor fills fast. Buy yours ahead of time at anhalthalle.com and plan to arrive early if you want a spot near the stage. Dress for dancing.
Blanco: Texas Cannon Brewing Co. hosts front porch live music every Friday and Saturday evening from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The downtown Blanco setting is one of the most relaxed in the region — craft beer, good company, and a warm spring evening on the porch.
Insider Tip: No cover, no reservation needed. Parking is easy along the downtown Blanco streets, and the rotating tap list is worth asking about when you walk in. This is a low-key Friday or Saturday start before the busier spots get going.
Spring Branch: Devine Wine Bar holds its regular Thursday evening acoustic session this week, April 10. The intimate setting makes it an ideal way to ease into the weekend — a glass of wine and live local talent before the bigger shows hit Friday night.
Insider Tip: Small venue, faster fill than you would expect on a Thursday. Call ahead to secure a table — (830) 460-3317 — or arrive right at opening. The patio is first-come, first-served.
Local Eats and Drinks
Blanco: The Blanco Shrimp Boil at Yett Park is happening Saturday, April 11, from noon to 6:00 PM, with the shrimp boil itself running from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Live music from Bobby Mack keeps the afternoon moving along the Blanco River.
Insider Tip: Get there before 4 PM to claim a shaded spot along the river before the crowd peaks at the shrimp boil. Parking fills up, so arrive early and make an afternoon of it.
Bulverde: Blue Bird Bread Co. holds its 2nd Saturday Market Day this weekend, April 11. Local vendors, house-baked goods, and strong coffee — it is a perfect Saturday morning stop before the afternoon events get rolling.
Insider Tip: The sourdough sells out. Plan to arrive by 9 AM if you want the good stuff. The market atmosphere is easy and unhurried, but the baked goods do not wait around.
Canyon Lake: Wild Flour Bakery is the quiet discovery of the Canyon Lake area. Their seasonal pastry rotation changes week to week and their patio is one of the most peaceful spots in the region for a Saturday morning.
Insider Tip: They frequently sell out of their top items before 10 AM. The line moves fast, but go early. This is the kind of place that rewards being a regular.
Community and Events
Bulverde: The 4th Annual BSBAC Gala, "Celebrating the Journey," takes place Friday, April 10 at Knibbe Ranch. Dinner, drinks, live music, and a live auction — all proceeds benefit the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center and Meals on Wheels Bulverde Spring Branch. Tickets available at givebutter.com/c/2026-BSBAC-Gala
Blanco: Blanco Performing Arts presents a Young Artist Recital featuring pianist Minjin Kim, a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. The recital is Sunday, April 12 at 3:00 PM at 317 Main Street, Blanco. Free and open to the public.
