The Hill Country Hot Ticket
June 25 – June 28, 2026

The weekend, distilled. A curated guide to live music, food, and events in Bulverde, Spring Branch, Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, and Blanco.

Live Music and Nightlife

New Braunfels: Phoenix Saloon has a stacked weekend starting with The Demolition Men on Friday at 9:00 PM, a high-energy Police and Sting tribute band that packs this room every time they play. Saturday brings the Vinyl Market Record Fair from noon to 5:00 PM, hosted by local shop The Record Room, with stalls selling records and tapes plus vinyl DJs spinning all afternoon. Lil Ruckus takes the stage at 8:30 PM. Sunday wraps with All Mixed Up, led by Melissa Townsend, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Every show is free.

Insider tip: Built in 1871, this is the oldest bar in Comal County. Head downstairs to Uncharted, the tiki bar hidden in the basement. Yes, a tiki bar under a saloon from the 1800s. Most shows here never charge a cover.

Spring Branch: Screaming Goat Yard & Tap welcomes Chad Boyd LIVE on Saturday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Noah Peterson is also on the weekend schedule. Sunday brings their All-You-Can-Eat Brunch Buffet from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM if you need to recover from Saturday night.

Insider tip: They pour 33 craft beers on tap, and the Southern Louisiana-inspired menu is built around crawfish, gumbo, and catfish plates. The covered patio fills up fast once the music starts, so plan to arrive by 2:30.

Bulverde: Tejas Rodeo hosts its Saturday Night Rodeo on June 27. Gates open at 5:00 PM, the rodeo kicks off at 7:30 PM, and live music runs after the final ride until 1:00 AM. Bull riding, barrel racing, mutton busting for the kids, and a dance floor that stays packed well past midnight.

Insider tip: Arrive when gates open at 5:00 and grab dinner at the Tejas Steakhouse on-site before the arena fills. Kids 4 and under get in free. Parking is included with your ticket.

Local Eats and Drinks

New Braunfels: Dry Comal Creek Vineyards has live music on the patio all weekend long: Colton's Kin on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Courtney Eoff on Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, and Justin Upshaw on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Pair it with a tasting flight and one of the better Hill Country vineyard views in the area.

Blanco: Real Ale Brewing kicks off the weekend with Music Bingo on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Grab a pint from the taproom, spread out on the patio, and test your knowledge for prizes. One of the more low-key ways to start a Friday in Blanco.

Community and Events

New Braunfels: Freiheit Country Store is the way to bookend your weekend. Thursday night, Rio Tripiano takes the stage at 6:30 PM to get things started. Sunday Funday brings live music from 1:00 to 7:30 PM to close it all out. This century-old dance hall has been hosting Hill Country gatherings since the 1890s, and the burgers hold up to the history.
