October 29 to November 1, 2026
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and most of the weekend leans into it: two costume contests, a trunk or treat in Sattler, and three days of distillers and music on the Blanco courthouse lawn. Here's what's going on.
Live music and nightlife

Rebecca Creek Distillery, Spring Branch
Spring Branch: Rebecca Creek Distillery goes all weekend at 26605 Bulverde Road. Chris Boss plays Friday, October 30 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM with karaoke after, and Halloween Saturday brings three acts: Austin Burns at 1:30 PM, Brandon Michael at 5:00 PM, and Mike Aguilar at 8:30 PM, with costumes and candy for the kids.
Insider tip: Friday happy hour runs 3:00 to 7:00 PM, so you can be at the bar an hour before Chris Boss starts. The food trucks rotate: The Branded Cow on Friday, The Swamp Pot on Saturday. Thursday is trivia at 7:00 PM with gift cards up to $100.

Vine in the Village, Bulverde
Bulverde: Vine in the Village throws a Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 31 at 2295 Bulverde Road, with live music from Stan Wayne. Best costume takes home a bottle of wine.
Insider tip: they have not posted a start time yet, so call (830) 438-8721 before you head out. The wine bar sits in a building that dates to 1911, and if Halloween crowds are not your thing, Dan Gonzales holds down the Wednesday night showcase at 6:30 PM.

Pour Haus Patio Bar, New Braunfels
New Braunfels: Pour Haus Patio Bar has a band all three nights at 343 West San Antonio Street. The True Labowski Band plays Thursday, October 29 from 8:30 to 11:30 PM, Broken Arrow takes Friday at the same hours, and Saturday, October 31 is the Halloween Costume Party and Costume Contest from 9:30 PM to 12:30 AM.
Insider tip: the patio goes 21 and up at 9:00 PM every night, so the costume party is grown-ups only. Saturday opens at 1:00 PM if you would rather have the patio in daylight first.

Throwbacks on 46, Spring Branch
Spring Branch: Throwbacks on 46 runs three nights at 15000 State Highway 46 West. Karaoke goes Thursday, October 29 from 7:00 to 11:00 PM, Crockett County Line plays Friday, October 30 from 7:30 to 10:30 PM, and Saturday, October 31 is the Halloween Bash from 8:00 to 11:00 PM.
Insider tip: Thursday happy hour runs 4:00 to 6:00 PM with $3.50 drafts and cocktails and $6 wells, and pool and darts are free all night. On Halloween the doors open at 11:00 AM, so you can claim a table long before the bash starts.
Local eats and drinks

Gruene River Grill, New Braunfels
New Braunfels: Gruene River Grill took Best Appetizers and Sides in the Herald-Zeitung's Best of New Braunfels 2026, and placed among the best for chicken fried steak, meatloaf, and lunch. Lunch specials run weekdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, so Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30 are both in play.
Insider tip: Gruene fills up on Saturday, and a weekday lunch is the easy way in. Order the appetizers that won the award and split them. The Wine Room seats up to 22 if you are planning around a group.

The Honeysuckle, Fischer
Fischer: The Honeysuckle now serves breakfast Friday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 3971 FM 32, up on the Devil's Backbone. The menu runs to the Coastal Cowboy crab cake stack, Bananas Foster French toast, and shrimp and grits, with the regular lunch menu starting at 11:00 AM.
Insider tip: live music on the patio runs Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, so a Saturday that starts with breakfast can end there too. The downstairs bar takes 10% off your ticket every day.
Community and events

Spirits of Blanco, Blanco
Blanco: Spirits of Blanco fills the Old Blanco County Courthouse grounds at 300 Main Street from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1. Hours are 1:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Saturday, and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday, with Hill Country distillers, breweries, and wineries, a festival market, classes, and music on the lawn all three days.
Insider tip: Saturday carries three music sets, at noon, 2:30, and 6:30 PM, which makes it the long day to plan around. The Hill Country Honeys play the only Sunday set at 11:30 AM. The Blanco Chamber's calendar shows Friday ending at 4:00 PM instead of 9:00, so check before you plan a Friday evening around it.
Canyon Lake: Sattler Trunk or Treat runs Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, with local businesses and community groups handing out candy. The CRRC of Canyon Lake sets up in its own parking lot.
Insider tip: groups start setting up at 4:00 PM, so by 5:00 the trunks are out and stocked. It runs three hours flat, which is the whole night for little ones rather than a warm-up for anything else.
The goal
Four days, five towns, and a Halloween that finally landed on a Saturday. Pick one, go, and tell somebody where you found it.
