via Hill Country Hot TicketStarting the list: local eats and drinks
Starting the list: Bourbon and Branch in Spring Branch for cocktails, Dry Comal Creek Vineyards for a patio afternoon. What's your go-to spot we haven't covered yet?
Heard something coming up? Drop it here.
This is the spot for the stuff we haven't heard about yet — a pop-up show, a band swinging through, a festival on the calendar. Heard something? Drop it here and it might make next week's issue.
What's playing this weekend?
Kicking this one off: this Saturday it's Justin Trevino at Twin Sisters Dance Hall, Gus Clark at Dam Red Barn, and the Tejas Rodeo with a live band after. What else is on your radar? Drop the venue and time below.
Welcome to the porch light district of the Hill Country
Welcome in. If you're reading this, you're one of the first folks through the door, and I'm glad you're here.
You already get the newsletter every Thursday. This community is the other half of it: the place where we talk back. A few quick pointers on how it works:
The Front Porch is where the fun lives. Share what you got into last weekend, the band you caught, the meal you're still thinking about. Stories and photos welcome.
Newsletters holds every past issue of the Hot Ticket, so if you missed a week, it's all right there.
General is for everything else: questions, suggestions, and anything you think your neighbors ought to know.
One ask: if a spot or a band ya'll rave about here earns it, don't be surprised when it shows up in a Thursday issue. This community is now officially part of the Hot Ticket's scouting team.
Go say hello on The Front Porch.
Alex
Pull up a chair. What did ya'll get into last weekend?
This is the spot where we swap weekend stories. Caught a great band? Found a plate of brisket worth bragging about? Floated the river and lived to tell about it? This is where you tell it.
No story is too small. The whole reason the Hot Ticket exists is that the best finds in the Hill Country travel by word of mouth, and this porch is where that happens.
I'll get us started. I've got a few videos and stories from my own weekends around Bulverde, Spring Branch, and New Braunfels that I'll be posting here over the next few days. Some of them ended up in the newsletter. Some of them were too good, or too embarrassing, to print.
So, what did ya'll get into last weekend? Drop it in the comments or start your own post.

The Hill Country Hot Ticket is a weekly guide to live music, food, and events across Bulverde, Spring Branch, Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, and Blanco. It lands every Thursday at 11:00 AM with a handful of ideas for your weekend, plus the details that matter: who is playing, when doors open, and which patio fills up first. This is the community side of it. Share what you found, ask what is worth the drive, and tell us about the places we have missed. Everybody here lives in these five towns, so the best tips usually come from you.
